This story is a retelling of the game, mainly because the project is discontinued, but I enjoy the game a lot so here we are. For anyone adding to the story, the only restriction is stay as close to the story as possible, until we get to the sinking of the S.S Annie. After that plot point you can do whatever you want.
Also, I don't own any of this, so fuck of Nintendo, I not trying to steal your fanbase.
