The creator of this Interactive Story provides this information and guidance:
Lanyx is a large planet with an unforgiving, lethal expanse outside of scattered safe places. Lanyx's core radiates Aura throughout the planet, affecting the people and creatures, pushing them to seek greater strength. With 1000's of years, the living creatures have absorbed the aura around them and now pass it to their offspring. With this power, the desire to test oneself intensifies. Through training, battle and study, an user of aura can grow.

Most of Lanyx's surface is hostile and only those who are strong, foolhardy or desperate leave the Protected Places. These cities and towns are few and often far between, leaving vast reaches of land to cross. Protected cities are the rare spots were Lanyx's auric affects are lessened, making these places much safer. Towns and cities are far more civilized, with governments making laws, police keeping order and where the average person can live with little fear.

People who use Aura have earned the title of Reapers. Each Reaper who gains the most basic control over their aura manifests a unique set of abilities with some achieve a second set of powers. These Auric Arsenals have a near-infinite number of possibilities.

Please no world-shattering powers. Beyond that, let your imagination guide your journey. Those who create their own paths, please make at least one option for new people to make their own.
