Hello there, Newbie! Welcome to WDC.*Coffee*
This is a Simply Positive Review.

*Dropbl* I enjoyed reading your poetic description of the preternatural being of the dark, trying to convince his amour, of their future together, should she choose to be with him.

*Umbrella* There are many poems and stories about vampires, but I enjoy something with a less obvious description. Here you do that handily and with a crisp, cleverness.

*Vine1* Use of the word, "Sanguinarian" in your brief description, drew me in, because I knew what the poem would be about, yet loved the enticing word over simply saying " a vampire ... "

It is indeed a monologue, a prose, certainly, however, I see it as a free verse poem with fine imagery. *Tagv*

Observations

"What is is [it] to give someone yourself,"

"A debt of life, per-say." [per se]

*Bulletg* I think the format could be set in an interesting way to capture the reader's attention. Perhaps placing the words in a verse-like pattern, helping to emphasize certain words by their placement in the poetic lines. There is so much that can be done with poetry shaping to be an attention grabber. This is simply my opinion, as a lover of good free verse. *Wink*

*Shield3* However, as a prose format, it still works to bring on the images, it just looks more tedious to read in paragraph form when there is no double space skip between them, to make the reader pause and absorb each "level" of the vampire's thought process.

Quite an enjoyable read.

Until next time--write on!
