A poem that shows what it feels like to be without friends or just being plane lonely. Tired in the body and fatigued in the mind, the author shows diagrammatically his state of mind at that moment of depressed mood.

Written in an informal style this free style poem appeals to me because the poet is able express his mood precisely. The busy street and the traffic around do not give any relief or respite from feeling low and lonely. Yet this position seems better than sitting at home enveloped in silence.
The difference between yesterday and today is shown through the body language.
"I want to stand
I'm just not sure
How long it'll take."

Imagery has visual impact for, I can see this lonesome person sitting all by himself on the sidewalk.

Yes, I think it is an expressive personal poem that explains the reasons for sitting alone by the sidewalk.

It flows well.
