I love it when I start reading something and I could just feel myself slow down and feel. This is a truly moving poem.

It is not something that a reader could pass by without being touched, and it isn't something that is likely to be quickly forgotten.

Your descriptions are very powerful. I love how you implied death without uttering the words:

"Forever set in stone
Placed in the shade
Under a tall tree"

Those were amazing lines!

And the last two lines are my favorite.

"All that could have been
Will certainly never be."

Those lines are quite painful. And I could feel the narrator's almost unbearable pain.

Truly touching and beautifully written!
