First Impressions: "Invalid Item"  is one of those rhyme-style poems that captures a child's imagination exceptionally well; I enjoyed this work for it took me to familiar places when I was this age, some decades ago.

I think that this poem visited all the familiar places that kids dream about...and then some!



Overall Impact: This poem brought the warmth of many memories to mind as I read through and down the list. I found myself immersed in places that, while having not been there personally, could certainly DREAM of being there!

Thus this work captures the spirit and dreamscape of a little boy who though constructive play dreams of a future world made brighter, safer through his imaginary deeds.



Errors: No errors seen in this writing today!



Summation: I enjoyed this poem; when we think of children and their hopes and aspirations, all it takes is reading this poem to usher us back into that world where we once thought that we, if only we could, save the world from its own ills.....
