I didn't quite get the rhyming scheme. The first verse did rhyme. Maybe you could take the time to explain it to me.

I did enjoy the poem. It was suitably scary, at least for a whimp like me. lol

I liked your first verse the best, maybe because it did rhyme, but the last line in it was great.

You got and held my attention. Good imagery.
