*Wand* The title is specific and made me curious as to who the poet would be and it set the place for the experience. *Smile*

*Wand*Wow! This is evocative with strong images and the repeated line which mirrors the title is emphatic as if that place has significance. The last line is potent: the symbolism the "shadow of lies!"*Thumbsup* The images of "vigil" and the idea of "stealing" are well concieved and show how a poet uses reality. *Wink*

*Wand*It was pleasant to read aloud with it's steady rhyme and some use of consonance and assonance, which assisted the flow and soundscape. I note that the line rhythms are not patterned and the freer style does suit the content. You really capture the night terrors and the observation of the poet who can do nothing about it, but write! *Star*

*Wand* Thanks for sharing your vision and craft. It is interesting how you use the place name and the non specific to have us imagine what the screams and events of the night might be. I really enjoyed the read.
