A review for "The Iron Bank of Braavos"

Title: Into The Nether Sky

First Impression: The first paragraph hooked me with Rahma peeking out from under the corrugated metal.

What needs your attention: Which is the proper spelling of the main character's name? In one place you have it spelled Rahman and in several other places it is spelled Rahma. I did not find anything else that needs your attention.

What part I liked best: There are several things I like about this story. First, I like Rahma because he is an intriguing and sympathetic character. Second, I like the idea of singing as a way to fly and to restore faith and hope.


Overall impression: Rahma's dream is to fly, but when his father dies his sorrow causes him to sing which attracts the attention of two light beings. The descriptions are part of the action and move the plot forward at a good pace. The interaction among the characters builds the suspense. I enjoyed reading this exciting and thought provoking story because of the metaphor suggesting that singing help a person's spirit to fly. I am giving this wonderful and well-written story a 5.0. Write on.
