Thing Signature Made For tHiNg!

What brought tHiNg to glide in a space time continuum over to your port?

*Cow* I am the judge for today in "The Writer's Cramp - Poetry Week. Thanks for entering!

What does tHiNG think about while perusing your item?

*Cool**Idea* Your free verse poem explores a relationship between son and mother that is all together too close for comfort. When mother holds control this tightly, it does not bode well for the future.

Then, if another woman comes into the picture, look out then. Yikes.

What does tHiNG applaud about while reading your item?

This part stuck with me:

"Oh, another message from Mom
as if my ears are the viaducts
for her every whim and whisper,"

Then there are the boys that Moms adore, but who don't pay much attention to mother. They give her lip service. So, that son is the favorite. That's a very interesting phenomenon because I've never known a mother to favor a child that she can control. There is always tension there.

Very fine take on the prompt! Well done!

P.S. I am someone who loves to read and review. That is a pretty simple statement and it is true, in the spirit of Ernest Hemingway, who once said, "Write one true thing." *Heart*
