What and why:
The rainbow had fled along with his guest and his Wolfhound was gone wagging this tale behind him.. That put a smile on my face for sure, I can just see the dog wagging the tele/tail behind him.

plot:
Great idea telling this story about a leprechaun who has no memory yet manages to take a gold coin from Paddy O'Brien.

Theme:underlying meaning/message
Be careful who you trust and watch out for little individual/leprechauns.

Rhythm/pace:
Reading this story was a pleasure with steady rhythm and a nice pace which kept the events moving and kept my interest.

Writer's Purpose

Conflict:more/less
The conflict was I think subtle at first not being aware of the leprechaun with no memory managing to steal the gold coin. Then when Paddy woke he had the internal conflict of having his coin stolen and realizing that he should have been more careful.

Yes, I can believe that dog would drink with his master, and other doings of the other characters.
