A lot of people are scared of their ego being hurt, and because of this they tend to put others down who they think might be better than them. Therefore, you're telling them that the only thing their criticisms did was made you better, albeit in a bit of sarcastic manner. But that's to be expected after what they did to you! People who don't believe in you are NOT your friends, as I'm sure you know, which is why this piece is appropriately titled. It's a little short, but overall, not bad. PS-You might want to get your bioblock (biography) set up so we can know a little something about you (hobbies, favorite books/authors, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course.
