Ahoy, Leadwood!
This is cool for a short FF piece. The idea of someone being an unwelcome visitor to a stranger's house is great plot idea, and taking the reader down one road (well done, by the way!) and then suddenly sending them down another was excellent!
Granted the twist was a just a tad premature, but it was still good.
One tiny niggle:
'a familiar voice echoes form behind me.' (from)
Otherwise, good job!
