An Acrostic poem for St Patrick’s Day
Seeing the warmth of spring arrive
The green of clover and blue of sky
Ponder the wonders of each new day
And count myself blessed to be awake
The pink heather carpet under tall pines
Rustling wind and waves align
In peaceful vistas verdant and fine
Castle towers rise, an ancient home
Keeping secrets bound in silent stone
Saints once tread this sacred ground
Devoted lives, where love abounds
A wondrous land, steeped in history
Yes, Ireland is where I'd love to be.
