Change is Scary! [E] But necessary. In 300 words. |
Welcome to WDC from "Newbie Welcome Wagon" ! Greetings, Melisscious! For you first piece on here, this isn't bad. It's a little different, but it's still interesting! I've never been to Canada, although having been born in Alaska and lived a good portion of my life in California, I guess I've been all around it! But father was born in Saskatchewan, so I understand I might have dual citizenship with Canada. Anyway, I'm so glad your friends convinced you to 'spread your wings', so to speak, and encouraged to you try something you might never have thought yourself capable of! I totally agree that change is scary, but sometimes it's also necessary! I left my home town in California 9 years ago more or less on a whim with barely the clothes on my back and moved here to Texas. I swore I'd never live in Texas, but I kind of didn't have a choice at that time. Am I glad I moved here? Not really, since my children and grandchildren are still back in Oregon (right across the border from my home in CA.) But at least I proved I could do it! But I'm going home this summer come hell or high water! Sorry, I digress. As I said, I'm glad everything worked out for you! Not a lot of people would take that chance, and you even managed to proved something to yourself! Kee ponw ritin gon, Melisscious, and welcome to WdC! If you like to write, then you're going to love it here! PS-You might want to get your bioblock (biography) set up so we can know a little something more about you (hobbies, favorite books/authors, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course. PSS-And since you’re new here, perhaps you’d like to check out "Noticing Newbies" and introduce yourself to the rest of the community if you haven’t already.
PSSS-If you want more exposure for your items you can put them on the Please Review Page under Community on the left hand side. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
