I saw this on the newsfeed and toddled over.
Well, I'm guessing that you've made up a fictional situation based on some real musings ...? At least that's what it sounds like to me.

Do all parents and/or kids feel this way? Or something like this, that all wasn't good with the upbringing? I keep yelling at my Dad that it's all his fault that I turned out such a pampered brat. He has actually made a list of all the chores / responsibilities I've taken on and brandishes it at me when I tell him I'm a brat. He says I'm not one. It's a debate sort-of opposite of the one you're going through, about the same issue.
(Did all that make any sense, or was it just the rambling of a soon-to-be-senior? *Wink*)

Anyway, nice little story about family dynamics and great word play and checkmate at the end! That was a surprise! *ThumbsUpL*
