Greetings, Morgenstern!

Welcome to this wondrous writing community. I discovered this little gem featured in a recent Poetry Newsletter and wanted to congratulate you on gaining that kind of exposure so quickly, and also for taking second place in the August round of the "Invalid Item" . The following observations are offered in the interest of friendly hospitality and constructive support, but they are nothing more than one person's opinions, so take them or leave them for whatever you think they may be worth.

The vivid sensory impressions presented in the first two lines gave me the chills, and those shivers continued all the way through to the last line. You are obviously no stranger to painting word pictures which maximize emotional effect. Very well done!
