Hello GERVIC 🐉 House Targaryen

First impression:

This is a woman illusionist who has an assistant that will overtake her in skills. There is no thumbnail to illustrate, but the title and intro line are telling enough. A thumbnail is always a nice addition. WdC has hundreds to choose from.

What works:

The pace of the story is good. There is always something going on. Even when the story is narrated in a telling way instead of a showing way, the story moves forward.

What needs work:

I would like to know if that magic that Daphnie presented always shows up in the same way or if it changes from show to show. Once a trick, illusion, or even real magic was seen once, it stops being unique. Of course, there are going to be many more people who'll want to see it, but as a reader, I'm already thinking of the next thing. The illusion with the dove was pedestrian enough and as a magic show patron, it would be exciting enough. Since the magic overtook the traditional smoke and mirror trick, I want to know if it evolves.

Final thoughts:

The story was penned flawlessly. I enjoyed reading it. I could see the scenes develop clearly in front of me. I was never able to fully "see" Daphnie, but I think that is because she kind of kept her head down and seems to like it like that. She wanted to show her skills, but not show herself like Irene likes to do.

Although I want to know what happens to the magic, this is a five star story as is.
