Letter from the editor

What exactly makes up drama?

I've noticed that the category Drama is pinned on quite a few items on this wonderful writing site. But are they all actually dramatic pieces? Is there a certain length that should be obtained before we are able to call a piece "drama"? I beleive that is up to the writer and the reader to answer.

Floating about this site I've noticed some very interesting and complex writing styles and authors, but there are also many more that lean towards the simple and straight forward. Both styles and writers are both good and correct.

So what am I saying?

Writing, like life in general, is all about taste. Just because one reader enjoys a piece and pronounces it a "wonderful piece of drama", another might find it weak and uninteresting. It's all a matter of opinion.

So be honest when you are reading, reviewing and rating these pieces of drama that you are reading here. But above all, remember- there is a writer behind each one of these stories; so be kind and courtious as well. No one deserves an unkind review or rating, not matter what the reason it is given. Always be objective, helpful and be careful with your opinions

~Mandik~
