This senior citizen center is holding a monthly contest. This month this edition of the newsletter will sponsor this next round of the contest, the one currently running. I will pay for all prizes this round from a fund set up by me to help sponsor contests all around the site. There is no prompt this round and the contest will run through the end of the month.
A Moment In Time
Last newsletter, this contest was highlighted. If you haven't already checked it out, now's your chance, there's still time to enter! This month's prompt is to write at least 400 words, but no more than 1000, on a single moment in time. The prompt is: a minute of failure - The deadline for this round will be February 19th, at 12:01am WDC! At last count there were twenty qualifying entries, so get yours in soon!

Don't Forget The Newbies!
The holidays have come and gone, Valentine's Day is freshly over, and many are still trudging through cold winter nights. If you've lost your zest for recent activities, don't! New members are still joining the site steadily, seeking friendships, looking for advice, or just introducing themselves. There are plenty of activities for holidays, but only a few that are centralized around welcoming newbies.
This is an oldie, but a goodie: a forum for new members to introduce themselves in. It's full of activity everyday, so why don't you stop by and welcome someone new? Remember, you too were once a newbie. Most of us remember the welcoming embrace by others members, so why don't you stop on by, even if it's just to say hello?

Mysterious Gifting
This group recently hosted "Cupid's Arrow Raffle" , a raffle celebrating Valentine's Day. The group consists of anonymous members that gift others on the site through various deeds. They're forum has been active with thank you messages from several grateful recipients who have received review credits, reviews, and awardicons. Check them out today, and don't forget to bookmark them for future events!

This great poetry contest is on round twenty-nine, hosted by Radler Zpheitor  - The goal is to write 12 lines or less of poetry, and is open to any case color, but only one entry is allowed per person. March is not far away and with it comes St Patty's Day! My favorite holiday, not only because March 3 is my birthday, but because it's an Irish holiday and I have an Irish heritage.
This is a scavenger hunt. Contestants look for game pieces hidden throughout the site, and get game tokens to "purchase" prizes at the end. The game runs from 12:01 am March 17 and ends 11:59 pm that day.
Looking for contestants and volunteers to participate. Don't delay, come right away!

The activity highlighted today is the 2010 + 2 Sporting Event Raffle that Sisco initiated before his hiatus/departure from the WdC. It's still alive and well, altered to 02-28-2011 closure date and the potential for a 1st place total presently at 161k GPs.
