Poem I wrote when I was in a weird emotional state. It's a good read!
I’m awake, not asleep.
Yet I’m still spinning…
Can I ask you please,
Are you still listening?
I see a light ahead, but right now
These visions torment
And everything you’ve said
Means the world to me.

Although my sickness
Seems to take over me,
You’re voice is never dead…
Just like the rain
Pouring and dripping
Upon the ground
Calmly, gently,
With exquisite sound.

The ocean’s ripples form
Who I am, where I will be
Ten years from now.
I can’t look down—
Not in a time like this,
When the sky
Seems to fully inspire me.

Now I’m coasting along
White frothy clouds.
The gray went away…
It melted in the rain.
See, that’s why rain is so sweet.
It is the portal in which I release
All this pain deep inside of me.

And I lay here listening
To the crickets humming so softly.
After the rain
They help me drift off to sleep.
I dream of you
And all that we’ve been through.

I know there’s
So much more to come.
Our love will release
Those white snowy doves
On a beautiful … rainy wedding day.

And I know there
Will be more pain,
But as long as we have our love,
And the rain pouring from above,
With the ripples that come with it,
I know my crickets will always be there
To hum me to sleep.
