Feelings I had on my Grandsons 1st birthday.
Tears of pain within my heart
Letting go, where do I start

What once was, is no more
All I want is to close the door

Build a wall to save my love
Lord tell me is he up above

Lost and alone to face the day
Will it be over, soon I pray

Lessons learned no longer needed
For his life I prayed and pleaded

No hope left its locked away
24 years my 1st born did stay

A smiling face burned in my heart on this day
As we celebrated his unseen sons 1st birthday
