A sad tale about love lost forever
SARAH LEE

Crashing waves beckon with white rolling arms.
I stand alone, dreaming of Sarah Lee,
choosing ignorance of impending harm,
reflecting on the black day she sailed from me.

Wretched heart now deaf to seagull’s lone cry.
Love’s emotions plunge with each falling wave.
Curs’ed sea lying between her and I,
invites me to sleep in her watery grave.

Seductive bed of salted, fallen tears,
what love compels me deeper, deeper still?
Is that your hand that pulls me, Sarah dear?
Blissful blackness provides comfort which kills.

My struggles cease, as I embrace the deep
If not with Sarah, then with death I’ll sleep.
