The difficulties of letting go and moving on and the pain it causes. life in general.
It's most I'd Regret

Is loneliness just a state of mind?
A rut in a never ending sea of life?

Is it imagined by restless souls
Who know not the word sacrifice?

But that we have, for it seems
Ages since the time of our youth

A time where peace, joy and happiness
Where one with our truth!

We could have lived endlessly in a dream state
With happy ever endings

Instead, crossed signals we must have been sending

A part of us saying our Independence is lost
We never figured in on such a priceless cost

Should the only solution be to disperse?
A separation of hearts, A failure to curse?

And how is it that a dream of love could fail?
That the dreams of two people could up and set sail?

After years of exchanging our wants and our needs
It comes down to this, a void to our deeds

What best for our children, we sired and taught
The middle of something they should never be caught

But, yearnings and answers are there to be found
So i guess it's good-bye for we're wayward bound

Will you miss us I wonder through days and through nights?

Will you remember our voices, our appearance to sight?

Will we make it alone, without one another
Or fail at new life? The thought makes me shudder

But I'm wondering most, If the love you'll forget
for if that be the case

It's most I'd regret
