"Stranger" Your touch, your kiss, is all I need to take my pain away
Your touch, your kiss, is all I need
to take my pain away
won't you let me ease your pain
in the very same way
your smile, your smell, is all I need
to bring joy to my face
how can I pick you up
when you've left so much space
between us there is a great divide
that I don't know how to cross
tell me all your private thoughts
tell me all your loss
won't you tell me your baby's name
or how you met his mom
why can't you just lean on me
and tell me what went wrong
I want to know the pain in your heart
and all the times you've suffered
I want to take it all away
and in my arms be smothered
with nothing but happiness and love
won't you let me bring you that
I’ll be your rock, your truth, your trust
but never your doormat
don't walk over me, and I won't step on you
I only want to know, can you love me, can you trust me
which way do I go
