When Ashley meets Carolyn for the first time.
Carolyn's first class of the day was interrupted when a beautiful new girl walked into the room. She handed the teacher a late slip and scanned the room for a seat. Conveniently, there was an empty desk beside Carolyn.
"Welcome to Rockdale High! I'm Carolyn Wilmer and its an absolute pleasure to have you here!" She sounded fake and you could hear a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"Oh, stop lying! I love sitting with you about as much as you would love knowing that your boyfriend is going to show me around the school."Ashley spat.
Carolyn's eyes narrowed."Move then. Theres an empty seat next to Peter."
Ashley grabbed her books. She stood up a bit too quickly and got a paper cut. She licked away the blood. "Mmm...Good"
"Ew! What are you, a vampire or something?" Carolyn shrieked.
Ashley smiled wryly, "You never know" and she walked away to sit with Peter, leaving Carolyn disgusted.
"Oh, Hi. I'm...uh...Peter" he stammered. He stuck out his arm for a handshake.
Ashley shook his hand snd smiled,"I'm Ashley. I think I saw you earlier. You were staring at something in the office. What was it?" she asked, even though she knew he had been looking at her. She loved hearing the boys try to think up excuses though.
He blushed."There was just a...well, a very..." He sighed and tried to think about what to say.
"A very what?" she asked sweetly.
"A very...large woman. She...uh..looked like she could have killed someone if she fell on them!" he looked like he was satisfied with his lie.
Ashley laughed and they talked until the end of class, even though the teacher had threatened to send them to the principal if they didn't be quiet.
By lunch, she had befriended almost every student. That was pretty good considering the fact that all of these students usually hated new kids.
Ashley grabbed her tray and looked for a seat in the crowded cafeteria, but after some time, she went outside instead.
"Hey, Ashley! Come sit here with us!" Alex called. He was sitting with a few other boys, Carolyn and two of Carolyn's friends.
Ashley walked over and sat down beside Alex. She saw Carolyn give her a dirty look. "Carolyn! You're in my homeroom, right?
Yes. We had a great time this morning." she wasn't trying to hide her distaste.
Obviously Alex didn't understand her sarcasm. "Great! So now you know how wonderful Ashley is. I'm showing her around the school, so I'm glad that you already know her" he was beaming at Carolyn and then he shifted his big smile over to Ashley.
"Carolyn, you wouldn't mind introducing me to your friends, would you?" Ashley asked innocently.Introduce them so I can kill them she thought happily.
"All right. The blonde is Krissy and the red head is Katie." She sounded bored.
"Its like, great to meet you Ashley!" said a bubbly Krissy. She sounded and looked like she had recently been taking some drugs.
"I know! There's like, hardly ever a new kid that actually makes friends at our school." Katie said.
I think these girls will be easy to kill!Ashley thought. Krissy looks drugged-up and I wouldn't be surprised if Katie was too.
Before anyone could say anything else, the bell rang and everyone went inside.
That afternoon, Alex and Ashley got to miss some of their classes so that he could show her around. She used that time to get more information on the girls.
"So Alex, has anything interesting happened around her lately?" she asked casually.
"Well, Carolyn, Krissy and Katie said that they saw a vampire city in the woods, but we honestly just think that they were drunk!"Alex replied, laughing a little.
"Well, people do stupid things, like get drunk. I guess they weren't thinking clearly." she laughed and changed the subject. She had enough information and was happy that Alex seemed so friendly, but for the rest of the day, he looked like there was something he wanted to say. He never did though.
