An arm beneath the soil looking for its preys
An Arm Beneath
By: Elycia Lee

It was an arm extended beneath the soil
At the darkest of night.
The works of diggers and all the toil
unearthed and choked visitors in fright.

And then it arose from the grave
Expanding its size three times.
It spotted more visitors, gave them a chase;
desiring so much to commit a crime.

Unseeing, silent; thus day come,
many bodies appeared all around.
Cemetery in the morning, cold and calm,
More mourning living to be found.

And then night comes and darkness falls
The arm extended beneath the soil once more
In a shrill and eerie scream it calls
Echoing the cemetery in its hideous roar.
