Possibly the best I've written. Possibly not. But definately one of my favourites.
Blink sends a drop of blood rolling down my cheek,
This crimson tear is long overdue,
A trickle that represents so much more,
With the opening escapes part of my soul,
A tiny liquid release of tension,
Descending drop devoid of intention,
A splash of colour against a bland backdrop,
A highlighted trail of both intensity and cleansing weightlessness,
Still a vision of horror and pain,
Yet also a symbol of freedom and relief,
Red trail following the contours of my face,
Representing the journey it took me to get to this place,
The path of fluid that is of the most human colour,
Life and pain both entwined in the power of simple light reflection and refraction,

A twisted path,
A fight between friction and gravity,
One last purifying freefall

And then clarity...
