Rain can be described as calm or refreshing, but in this poem it is just the opposite.
The rain is quick to fall,
Deafening your helpless call,
While you wander, getting nowhere,
As others pass by without a care.

The rain is quick to fall,
Never stopping as you stall,
Hoping someone will come save you,
But the chance, you know, is very few.

The rain is quick to fall,
Shrinking spirits, once so tall,
Crushing realistic dreams,
Just as they were formed it seems.

But after the relentless rains,
The comforting sun shines bright.
