A simple poem based on a picture for a contest.
Raining, raining, along life's endless road,
As the wipers sing their ceaseless ode.

Dripping,
Dropping,
The falling of life cannot be slowed.
The Heavens pour their soul,
Along the endless road.

Ancient trees and grasses of green,
Extend alongside the pave-ment scene.

Breathing,
Growing,
Mother Nature reigns as queen.
Fed by life and Earth itself,
She graces the road with green.

Where might it end? Where did it begin?
Infinite lines; a set of yellow twins.

Stretching,
Lying,
The road exists as kin.
To infinity it extends,
In the past it shall begin.

The road, it stretches, from the past to the now,
The future to the end; to the end we do plow.
