A poem of reflection.
You asked me why
Everything fades,
Everything dies,
Inevitable crusades,
And broken ties?

I answered as I faded away
I smiled at you as our eyes met
And your tears glistened
As I left and as we wept

I faded into the reflection
The one deep within your eyes
All is but a recollection
Of these infantile lies

You always made it all alright
I will always await you
Please, wish me love tonight
Couldn’t come a moment to soon

I find the ashes of our long lost love
Sifting through to find remembrance
I find the wings of Noah’s dove
Looking for transcendence

I only await you
I only need you
I only want you
In all I do
Bring me home
Along beside
The heart
Along beside you
Make me a part
A part of you
Sift through the ashes
And you shall find
Lying beside the passion
Below the crimson valentine
Weeping the tears caress
The combusted memories
Remembering the depressed
The painful endeavoring
Can you really see
What you have become
My Persephone
Whisper and I shall tell
A little piece of me
Monarch of hell
Governing Persephone
