Why do friends leave our lives to never want the friendship that we once had
We all have friends that we know are important to us, but what happens when someone that we have been friends with for a long long time, just suddenly drops out of our lives for no really known cause.

I was a woman that was abused by my first husband and I left him after 11 years of marriage and I met a friend who I thought was going to be someone that I could depend on to be there for me, but during the length of time that I stayed with him and began to see how he interacted with my children, I knew that this was not the man that I was going to be able to spend my life with.

I told him that I would remain his friend because he had 2 children that really needed the maternal person in their life because their mother had left their father for another man, and they had had no one to give them the true motherly care that they needed for quite some time.

They had a friend of their fathers that lived in another part of our state and he came to visit with them periodically and I watched him as he interacted with the children and he even included my children, not even knowing me at the time.

I really knew that this was God showing me that there was someone better for me and that I needed to just give it some time to flourish,

The children's father, named Rob, had already had our whole future planned out.
He had planned the wedding and everything, but this was just not happening.

The children's friend and I began talking and he told me things about Rob that made me realize that Rob was exactly like the man that I had been living with for the last 11 years and I did not need to relive a living nightmare all over.

The children's friends name is Dan. Dan and I became closer and we began dating.
This infuriated Rob. He started saying that Dan had taken me away from him.
How could he have taken me away from him, when there had been no committment made between the two of us.

I finally told Rob that it was over and he got mad as a roaring lion and said that me and my friend could g- to hades.

We finally decided that it was best to limit our conversations with this friend and
we lost our friendship with this one that had 2 children.

We would have like to reestablish our friendship, but this is just one of those friendships that is just unable to be mended.
