To know what might have been
The songs we could have heard
The sights we should have seen.

Thou cruel mistress of fate
EVIL VIXEN! Rotten Luck!
Why must love abate?

How my soul cries out to life
How dare you decree
My travels be wrought with strife

When my adventures move toward a close
Seal up my eyes and plug my nose
As I recline in peaceful repose.
