Nothing feels worse than a life gone stagnant
*Ever had one of those days?*

Afternoon Apathy

Sometimes I feel there is no way
No path to follow day by day
No reason for my cares and dreams
No life between these daily scenes

No need to care for what cannot change
A heart of stone, far out of range
From any arrows of words or love
With no light or help from Him above

What is the point? Where’s the lesson,
In pain, in hope, in joy, depression?
Why drag myself out of this bed
For another dose of daily bread,
Of thinking, talking, lose or win
In the end I sleep and it starts again

Dear God, please hear my desperate plea
For a life of more than mediocrity
I want to care, to laugh or cry
Anything but this drawn out sigh
