"So Much Different From I"
"SO MUCH DIFFERENT FROM I"

Every night when the moon came up, she climbed atop the building
Screamed across the city, told us all what she was feeling
And every night I listened 'cause her scream was so appealing
I agreed with every word, like from my mind she was stealing
The thoughts I thought, the dreams I dreamed
What I felt she felt, and I thought it seemed
A little weird that this girl so much different from I
Could say the things I wanted to, when I felt the lump she cried
So on top of the building, she looked battered, barely alive
Her clothes all torn up, but her words ain't lie
A full moon her back drop, the building ledge her stage
Her ribs showed like she ain't eat, her face lined with age
But her looks didn't matter, I still heard what she had to say
As long as she spoke the truth, captivated I would stay
I listened all night until that night turned into day
She retreated from off the building ledge, and her other side would raise
That was the side you never heard, she who kept it all inside
Real different from the other, 'cause this was she who lied
She went throughout her day, and then with the moon the night brought
Out her other side, she who had lessons to be taught
Lessons such as those to teach her how to show her other side how she fought
Then was when I realized it wasn't she I was listening to:
These were my own thoughts
