Feeling empty and lost, vacant but aware of a flicker of hope, all is not lost
In the stillness of this moment,
My emptiness is vast.
My spirit is as desolate as a desert,
How long will this emotional drought last?

My eyes stare with a vacancy,
They have lost their sparkle and their glow.
Hollow like a dying tree,
Emptiness is consuming me.

Will they yell timber, if I fall?
Or will someone look in my eyes and truly see,
That behind the veil, this vacancy,
Is the ember of me.

Stir the fire, restore the flame,
Return the light to my eyes.
Fill my soul, renew this spirit,
Make the most of this moment.
