My deep woory about the state of our nation
This is a jumbled up work of my frustration:

Here I am again. Writers block. I have attempted to sit down and write, but nothing enters the mind and whatever is typed on the screen stares back at me mocking my failure. The emotions are there, but I cannot seem to transfer the emotions into thoughts and then into words. Maybe that is my problem. I am way too damn emotional right now and the logical part of my brain is screaming for attention.

Ok logic, I am talking to you! I am annoyed with my dominant estrogen hormones and need some reason and objectivity. Please humor me and enable me to overcome this state of being. A being of weariness. A being of exhaustion. A being of bitterness. I know the truth is in there. I am knocking on the big left cerebrum of my brain and ordering you to expose yourself.

A Story:

I look at the world around me and become enraged and fearful. Everyday continued violence spreads even more hatred and suffering. Mothers, fathers, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters are killed by precision-guided munitions. They are screaming in agony as chemical weapons melt the skin off their bones and crying over the limbs they lost after they walked onto the mine field. The United States of America is pumping out more ammo than Rambo and greedy men are becoming wealthier, while the majority of America is getting poorer.

The business of war summons weapon manufacturers such as Lockheed Martin to ferociously sell their product to the US military. 1) So, heres the deal. We start a war for whatever reason the mind can creatively bullshit about. 2)And now what war is a war without weapons? 3)Here is the best part: Private corporations produce the weapons. Very slick politicians and other choice individuals invest their money into the company by buying stocks and due to their relentless drive to be rich and powerful, they make billions. 4) Now the real blow to the stomach. The public is deceived and told some foolish lie about how we must invade another country in order to protect our "freedom." (Something to think about: If they hate freedom so much, why didn't they attack Sweden?) 5) This war of course is justified and supported because we are furious and terribly distraught over 9/11. And who wouldn't have been? Our country was attacked and thousands of our countrymen and country- women died. 9/11 was the worst tragedy America had ever experienced. Our security and safety was now in question. We glared at the world and demanded answers. The persons that were involved in masterminding this sick plan had to be caught and punished. 6) We turned to our government and made them responsible for catching the global criminal. Our President, his administration, the majority of Congress and the media all told us that Saddam was to be blamed. This allegation was easily accepted by us because Saddam was already a condemned man. 7) The President declared war on March 20, 2003. Baghdad fell, the defense ransack the joint and private contractors of every flavor were sent to Iraq to rebuild or to plainly state it, make money.

>99 percent of the time money and power are the driving forces in world conflict<

This war is but one example that gets me emotional.

I have this slight premonition that the war in Iraq is unjust. Hhhm, wonder why this is? Ahh hah, I recollect that the Bush Administration, CIA officials, retired Generals, and other intelligence officers finally admitted that they engaged in this war through the backing of fictional, "misinformed" or "overlooked," information.

I do not predict that Mr. Bush is ready and willing to entirely deploy our men and women back home to their families. Every time I listen to Bush he is giving me the damn run around. A journalist asks him a good question and he replies with some dumbfounded answer. We are so preoccupied, and admittedly amused at his pathetic idiosyncrasies, that we forget all about the question and thus do not receive the truth.

A report from MSNBC stated back in March 06 that "even if the U.S. exits Iraq within another three years, total direct and indirect costs to U.S. taxpayers will likely by more than $400 billion, and one estimate puts the total economic impact at up to $2 trillion." What the 6amp;C did you just say? 2 trillion dollars the American people will have to put out? Well, well you &$#@(@! Couldn't the money that was spent on bullets go towards more lasting things such as education or neighborhood revival projects? Lets put this in perspective please. I will calm down. Logic activated....

Instead of investing our money into this war so that selfish men and women may gain, we must invest in our country. We must preserve our roots and invest in America's future.

Patriotism is nothing short from radicalism. True patriotism is not define by flag waving or by car magnets that say " I support my troops." It is defined by the unwavering defense of justice and truth. Even when the truth hurts. It is defined by "We the People of the United States of America." We are a representative democracy. It is the duty of American citizens to maintain a watchful eye on the judicial, executive and legislative branches of our government. Imposing checks and balances constantly. We are the United States of America. It is our responsibility to hold the deceptive actions of certain government officials in account.

Here I go:

There is an innate perfection and beauty in every being. Yet, the tricky part is that we have been conditioned to believe that money, possessions and image are the reason for our existence. We scramble from here to there in search of wealth, status and reputation. We neglect the Self, the family and the community. Consumption of material products breathes a temporary fix into our lungs of desire. Our homes are filled to the brim with..well, shit. Items that are composed of metal, plastic, paper, or rocks are placed at a ridiculously expensive value. The queen puts her gowns and dresses on display so that the world can see how rich she is, while millions of people are..(I know that you know what I am going to say)...starving.

This lifestyle is foreign to our true being and when we become solely focused on our lust of money and materialism, we loose sight of the true meaning of life. We become fearful, paranoid and vengeful. We cling on tight to our items and we forget who we are. We build our priorities, our goals, our agendas around a lifestyle that is fruitless.

Look how nature gently intertwines and remains constantly balance. Except of course when humans intervene.

My Moment of Zen:

Remember the first law of thermodynamics? The conservation of energy? The law proposes that energy cannot be neither created nor destroyed. Every organism is a gigantic cell fashioned from smaller cells. Cell=Energy. We are energy that cannot be destroyed. We attach ourselves to material items in a blind desperation to find security. We undermine our true significance. Remember the old saying of you can't take your mansion and BMW with you when you die? This instant gratification we all love so much will eventually fade away and what remains is a ravaged earth filled with pollution, waste, and hatred. The full feeling we all crave in our heart: to be loved, to be accepted, to be happy; is not filled through green paper and plastic. It is filled by the love we all carry within us.

My Observation:

We are a misguided species. A clan of social mammals who became too self-absorbed with our natural gifts. A species who have abused this gift of logic and reason. We have built skyscrapers and computers, cured diseases, created nuclear energy, and produced sweet melodies and awesome beats. We are a very special group of beings, but we have not yet built a global community of peace and toleration. Our ancestors lost their way during the journey and so far, we have continued in their footsteps. Just as democracy and capitalism revolutionized the world, so must peace.

I must come to accept this insane world and the insane mind I live in. I must never quit. It is imperative that i am content with the fact that I cared enough to try to make a difference while many were too concerned with MTV, Prada bags, IPods, and the Pussycat Dolls. I may not solve all of the problems we are plauged with. However, I can dedicate my life toward peace and love. In the end, that is what matters the most.
