A day when darkness prevailed
Pick me up Lord

I believe I fell while this dark day passed

Crawled into my bed, curled up

And cried for the burden

Of worries and sorrows

Carry me Lord

Pick him up Lord

I saw the expression on his aged face

Yesterday kidnapped his Soul

Slowly he chases after,

Fearing he will never catch up

Carry him Lord

Pick her up Lord

The frail and exhausted body trembles

Doctors poke her with needles

The door knob turns with grieving hands

Into the dirty house that is not a home

Carry her Lord

Pick us up Lord

We gaze upon the burning stars and bright moon

Insignificant to the glorious night sky we feel

Heaven gave us life

We gave ourselves death

Carry us Lord
