A poem I wrote after my visit to Arlington Cementary.
You went off to war,
Your intentions very true.
The truth of integrity,
Lies inside you.

The battle was hard,
The training was rough.
This wasn't for weaklings,
You needed to be tough.

Then one day during battle,
You were no where to be.
So they got on a boat,
And sailed home to me.

They told me the story,
I dreaded to hear.
About how they searched,
My heart raced with fear.

So they took a plaque,
And put it on the ground.
Hoping that one day,
You would be found.

My heart beat slowed down,
As it was so fast.
For the unknown soldiers,
Are home at last.

~~~~To all the soldiers lost in war and never found. May you rest in heaven forever!~~~
