dark poem about hurt, despair, depression....and the haunting sound of loneliness.
Darkness.
They pass, cold, luminiscent,
the faces of those I
loved and hated.

Love, she says.. what
love? Only hate and a
burning desire. And
despair, the
haunting sound of loneliness.
In the friendless dark, the
tablets call- oh
the sweet eternity of sleep-
and nothingness!

But no.

No the hand drops
shaking- a rabid dog
in throes of
Death.

Moans and stops.
And tries again...
but no avail
no release
no peace.

No Death.

Always the Death,
and never thoughts of
life and love, except..
the broken shatters of a heart

beating coldly in oblivion.
A smile flickers. Imagining
the sweet release

Knife grins wickedly
veins laugh
the point slips back
and forth
back
and forth

spilling the bad blood
of depression.
