chapter 1 part 1, more to ba added soon!
Aislynn walked down the road to her bus stop, hearing the roar of the ocean and the call of forest animals around her. She and her mother had felt blessed to find a home nestled in a secluded bay, with a small stretch of beach, especially when they had seen the thick forest that seperated them from the people behind them. It had reminded both she and her mother of the forest near their home in Ireland, and they had taken it immediately. The house and land had cost a fortune, but since winning a famous case for her law firm in Ireland, the firm in New York had paid a substantial amount to convince Raelin to move, and had even paid for the down payment on the house. It was a beautiful house, Aislynn had to admit; neo-victorian but without the hideous and gaudy coloring, the windows were a beautiful mixture of stained and plain glass, which made the house glow and sparkle with life at night. Aislynn smiled; one consolation about moving across an ocean to a strange new place was that she had gotten a much larger room with her own tower room attatched, a place of solitude where she could hide herself away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Crescent Bay was a quaint place, close enough to the city for entertainment and easy commuting, far enough away to keep up the appearance that the suburbs were untainted by the 'urban lifestyle.' Aislynn made it to the bus stop a few minutes early; it always seemed that whenever she was lost in her thoughts time seemed to wash past her like the sea around a rock. As the other highschool students congragated around her, ignoring her existance not out rudness, but out of lack of interest, Aislynn mentally reveiwed what she had studied the night before, the fastest route to all of her classes while avoiding the massive amounts of people that crowded the halls, and the names of the people she sat with at lunch. Boarding the bus, she sat down and put on her head phones and listened to her latest mix cd, passing the time until she could get off the bus and get her day over with; oh, by all the gods she hated high school.
