A recently-written poem.
Holy treasure more than gold.
Jealous martyrs it shall mold.
Taken down by Satan's kiss.
Then to hear the serpent hiss.

Thousands dead to hold their own.
There be slain, but not alone.
Succumbed to fear, great crusade.
Putting Jesus in his place.

Be it for a holy cause.
Or great civilization loss.
Managed escape, manic zeal.
Holy Grail, they may wield.

Be it for a holy cause.
Thousands dead to hold their own.
Holy treasure more than gold.
Unbeliever horizon lost.
