A poem I wrote to a girl I had a crush on in highschool.
Your thin lips, that smile. Your eyes, meet mine. I could easily get lost in this. When I hear your voice, I want to take your thin hand and run away. I want to lay my head in your lap, listen to your stories of Boston. And when I laugh, I love how your eyes light up that way, It's something I can't explain.

And then you came to find me in lunch, but I was in his arms, he only has my mind, how can I convince you that you have my heart? I never wanted it to be this way, I saw you crying and it's never been the same.

I miss the soft hugs, gentle and warm. I miss the feeling of something new. I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. I was am will always be confused. I wish I had more to offer than "sorry", but it's too late, too soon to say goodbye to you.
