driving to work, spiritual
The gardenias line the walkway to my car
I planned it that way, I don't walk far
Music always playing, genre depends on mood
Today I don't feel so rude
Classical, belongs to the sunrise
A painted canvas of light, God's surprise
The drive is calm and empowering
Mountains on both sides are towering
New greens, forest and emerald
Symphony’s sounds are vigorous and bold
An orange amber of delight
reflects in my mirror's sight
as I leave behind the mornings drive
and step into a world of stride
only to be sadden with people
who didn't even notice the steeple
That reaches toward heaven's stairway
A place that most pass by twice a day..
