a poem about a realistic dream
An idea came to me the other night while lying in my bed
I fell asleep and the City of Tears popped into my head
You enter a house and walk down a long hall
And came to a room where there hangs a crystal ball.
In this room you'll find all you could need
Like a love and compassion to bring you to your knees
I walked through the city and saw many faces
Yet if happiness was here there were no traces.
Love is what people come here to find
Or they come just to ease thier minds
They all have hearts of gold
They're just searching for a hand to hold.
I went back to the room with the crystal ball
And found myself in a stranger's arms
Moments later I awoke with a scream
For you see City of Tears was just a dream.
