Just a little ditty to my inner child.
Shining Brightly

My heart sang once, some time ago.
'Tis silent now beneath the snow
Of older years.
You bring the light to my face
And you shine so brightly.
I prayed last night to keep you safe
From storms and lightning that burn your heart.
You shine like the sun rising in the East
You sleep like the sun setting in the West.
You bring the light to my face.
I talked last night to my sister
And she said she would keep you safe.
You shine so brightly on my face,
I pray it all comes back to you
Tenfold your light.
Your shine is as great as your pain.
I dream of love but nothing is as it really seems.
I pray to the stars of the night sky
Shining Brightly like you.
