PUBLISHED PIECE :o) about a dark night of the Soul reclaiming the Light
Fallen

I sigh and dry leaves fall from my head.
I cry and moisten the brown Earth beneath the roots of my feet.
I yearn and the Sky bends down to caress my Soul with its breath.
I long to live in the eternal moment of Truth
Where All Is and Nothing Exists.

My Soul has Fallen.
My Spirit clings on a wisp of a wish.
Hope breeds in the emptiness and
Spans outward entangling its tentacle arms,
Intertwining intricately so a body cannot set itself free.

Is Hope the glowing cord that holds me in Unity?
I have Fallen from the Grace of God.
I have trodden down so many rotten paths.
I have Fallen from moldy roadsides
That empty into deep confusion and lies.

I have Fallen from You,
And You have Fallen with me.
A blue jay cries, its piercing song slicing through the dark air.
Has the blue jay Fallen, too? Into my bleak world?
Can it carry back a berry of Truth to seed and breed?

I long to be towed by the chord of Hope,
Back into the Truth that I Am.
Ah, the rest that comes with Death.
Peace comes upon me
And leaves me weakened by its Strength.

I breathe in air from the edge of the Universe.
All I want. All I need.
Peace comes upon me and it breathes me.
Tears drip from my Heart
And water the seed for Change.

My Soul shines upon my sorrow
Casting it to the Heavens.
I soar above the pain.
He lifts me once again.
My Soul has Fallen into Heaven.
