A somber pondering, from my heart's crater straight to the paper
I ponder alone in my thoughts again,
Wondering why there was no act before.
Instead, still I sat and did not complain
As shards of grief in my heart did bore.

My emotions, away they wore,
As I waited for relief’s soft sound.
My love called. You did ignore.
I suffered while you could not be found.

Like my purpose had drowned,
My frame was cast aside.
It rots, yearning for the ground
To steal it away and hide.

The burden wears me low
As I wait for “the grass to grow.”
