About a scorned lover after a breakup
When you held me in your arms
I’d rather be nowhere else.
When your soft lips touched mine
I’d rather be no one else.
When I couldn’t be with you
I’d rather think of no one else.
When you told me that you loved me
I’d rather say nothing else.
But now when you hold her in your arms
I’d rather be somewhere else.
When your soft lips touch hers
I’d rather be her.
When I can’t see you
I’d rather be there.
When you tell her that you love her
I’d rather be dead.
