a sketch for lit. class. i had to use metaphor, personification, alliteration, etc.
The ship glided through the water like a crocodile in water…the sound of wailing was all that could be heard in the cold ocean air.  The reason for the calamity emanating out of this poor pirate was simple.  His plan, a plan of mutiny against the captain, which slithered from his mind to his mouth and around the listener’s ears, was caught by the captain before it could strike.  This poor soul, covered with blood, had endured the cat-o-nine tails, almost to the point of death.  After this excruciating punishment the captain commanded the hardly recognizable man to walk the plank.  The sight of sharks swimming in the sea below him terrified the man.  The thin piece of wood was the only thing between him and their razor sharp teeth.  Creek sounded the board as he stepped out a little further, the sound of the crew roaring with laughter, ringing in his ears.  Time stood still, waiting for the pirate to fall off the ledge of life.  All was quiet, as the fog engulfed the lonely man, sharks, crew, ship, surrounding their fate in mystery.
